He's picked the Browns' starting QB but he's not telling anybody who it is ... because he wants to keep the Vikings guessing. He hasn't even told his starting QB that his starting QB is, in fact, his starting QB.

My first thought is, maybe he is lying and has told his QB and not the media.
My second thought is, the QBs are gonna work as hard as they can regardless.
My third, and most appropriate thought is, it does not matter, the Browns suck.

Alright so here are my projections for this weekend:

The Thursday night game looks like a great matchup. I think the Titans may be a better team, but I am not sure they are going to be as good as last year. I feel like it would be hard to duplicate. Steelers win.

The Lions will lose about 50-2 on Sunday. Stafford will be the next QB to ruin his career in Detroit. He probably will not make it the entire game before being pulled or injured in favor of an equally-terrible player.

The Bills will lose. I haven't even looked to see who they are playing but they have mediocrity written all over them. Owens will drop passes, Lee Evans is about as inconsistent as my punctuation on here and they are starting two rookie tackles. Oh, and Lynch is out for three games and Trent Edwards is meh.

I'm interested in seeing Tom Brady but I'm not interested in listening to all the pre-game analysis on him or Brett Favre. I may skip them all together and just watch ESPN news.

Oh and I bet Brandon Marshall plays this week.

For my individual player projections...

Fred Taylor - Tears his groin at least twice. And the rest of the Patriots running backs all get banged up. Maroney, Morris and Green-Ellis all have a solid game in the mix. Faulk too.

Calvin Johnson - Big drop off this year. Could be quadruple teamed and the other receivers still wouldn't do crap. Dennis Northcutt is not a threat. I think Kevin Smith will have a solid year though.

Sidney Rice will have a breakout season. I think he will be better than Harvin. Maybe even Berrien.

Larry Johnson and Jamal Lewis have bounce back seasons. And at least Johnson puts up near his 4.5 YPC.

Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan will have great seasons.

Bernard Scott becomes the starter in Cincy and lights it up.

I'm not sure why Jamal Lewis would bounce back, either, though he wasn't terrible last year. He's a fading player on a bad team.

So do I, though I consider it a gift from the Ravens to their opponents if they stick by the plan of not giving McLain the ball at all. I don't think he can take the pounding of full-time work, but those two make a hell of a combination.

Yeah, when a sixth-round pick (James Davis) gets into the mix for playing time, that doesn't bode well for Lewis.

A month ago, I would have picked Derrick Ward as a breakout guy, but it appears Raheem Morris is enamored with Cadillac Williams. (If Carnell is healthy, I can't say I blame him).

Given all those things, I'll say Felix Jones busts out this year.

I don't think Cadillac is healthy. And I think Tashard Choice is the No.1 choice if something were to happen to Barber.

I feel like Jones is more of a change of pace back.

And regarding Ray Rice, I feel like McGahee is still young. He still has some time left, and he's not a bad back. If he stays healthy, I don't know if Ray Rice is going to put up huge numbers. Maybe No.1 on the Ravens numbers, but not top fantasy back material.

And I do own James Davis in a couple of leagues.

Jokeland will win a game before the Bears do.

I'm betting a pile on Seattle in the opening week and New England to kick the complete **** out of the Jets in Week 2.

1,300 yards and 9 TDs last year at age 22.

As a rookie he had 1,500 total yards and 16 tds. All for a terrible Bills team with no passing game.

The Bills had a few months to look for an adequate replacement to Lynch and didn't find one. Three games is almost one-fifth of the season.

Cadillac Williams is now listed No. 1 at tailback on the Bucs' depth chart.

It's good to see Mangini's paranoia followed him to Cleveland.

Right after he took the Jets job, the Jets GM got into a really pissy back and forth with the writers at the combine when they were asking him about certain players and he was dodging every question and refusing to the acknowledge the players who were going to be taken at the top of that draft.

I think they had the No. 4 pick that year and I remember one of the NYC writers saying something like, "You are aware that there is a tackle named D'Brickashaw Ferguson from Virginia aren't you?"

It was pretty funny.
