To sum it up ...
• The Broncos came back from 19-0 down at the start, and 18 down with just under six minutes left
• The Broncos scored 33 points in the fourth quarter (tied for second most in NFL history)
• Three lead changes in the last two minutes
• Not one, but TWO touchdown passes caught off of deflections
• A coach getting an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that was completely overlooked in the zaniness
• And a walk-off field goal

And all of that was in the fourth quarter. Didn't think that Cowboys-Giants game in Week 2 could be topped for insanity, but it turns out it wasn't even the most bugnuts game of the Giants' season.

There were also two dropped interceptions on the Giants' last drive and a roughing the passer penalty that has also been mostly overlooked, I don't think the Giants got the first down. Additionally a really freaking awful interception by Dart or none of this happens.

Craziest game I've ever seen in person and I have seen some, including a few big comebacks. There was just so much weird that happened.

I wasn't paying close attention early in the game, so I didn't realize the Giants kicker also missed a PAT in the second quarter. Obviously didn't seem like a huge deal when they were up 19-0, but later on ... yep.

Well, yeah, but that screws up all ensuing situations. After two walk-off losses, this truly is an unexpected win and we'll take it.

We try to stick to a rule of no phones when we go out, so I kept my phone in my pocket.

I checked the score when I went to the bathroom. Holy mother of god. That trip to take a No. 1 almost became a No. 2 when I saw the score.

I am on the record that any helping the runner -- including pushing -- should be illegal.

BTW, according to a quick Google search, that's not the first time that rule has been ignored.

Mine was opposite. I missed the game to attend a dinner party, checked the score (and my fantasy team a few times), left the restaurant at the end of the party after seeing the Giants up 18 on the downstairs bar TV and figured they had it won.

Got home, flipped on Cowboys/Commanders, saw the kneel down, some pushing and shoving, then they did a highlight of Dart’s TD run. Flipped over just in time to see the Broncos start their drive. Found out later that the Giants kicker missed two XPs.

Niners fans just lived this experience for last two years.

Even though Moody won the game for the Bears Monday night, watching Pinero trot on to the field for the 49ers is much more comforting.

When I was nine years in 1966 I watched the Redskins and the Giants play the highest scoring game in NFL history. The Redskins won 72-41 and did not tie the 1941 Bears for most points scored in a game Because Charlie Gogolak mussed an extra point.

The Redskins had a Hall of Fame QB in Sonny Jurgenson, two hall of Fame receivers in Charlie Taylor and Bobby Mitchell and a good receiving tight end in Jerry Smith. I think Jurgenson broke the record that season for most completions as the Redskins threw the ball a lot.

But not in this game. Jurgenson was 10-18 for 145 yards and the Redskins only gained 341 yards of total offense. In fact the Giants had more yards from scrimmage. The Redskins turned the ball over twice and punted six times.

I remember at the age of nine thinking I would never watch a weirder game and in 59 years I have not until I watched the Giants and Broncos yesterday.
