And the Iggles lose at home to the Jaguars. That makes it four losses this season, all by a touchdown or less.

I've come to wonder if Reid is overrated as a coach. His record in one-possession games is under .500, which calls into question his skills as a tactician.
If Reid is overrated as a coach, McNabb is equally overrated.

A real quick fantasy question. ... If I have Bush, and he threw and INT, that counts as -2 just as a Bush passing TD would count as 6, no?

Probably depends on the league, but I'd say yes, he gets the minus points for an INT.

Vick today: 20/28 291 yards 3 TD's No Int's 9 carries 55 yards

It's amazing what a QB can do when he has protection.
I'm trying my best not to come off as a fanboy :) , but I really think that Vick is not that bad of a passer.

Do you guys remember that song? It was kind of rock, kind of country, said something like "freedom rings through all this land?" I haven't heard that song in years, but I was trying to remember who sang it and where I could hear it again.

"Our Country"?

The Eagles record in one-possession games is probably a combination of two things.
1. Lack of power running game makes it harder to hold leads.
2. Blitz-oriented defense results in too many "oops, that's a touchdown" plays.

Eagles couldn't stop the run AT ALL today, and their receivers either couldn't get open, or dropped the ball when they were.
Phillly used to have a good receiver, don't remember his name. Whatever happened to him, anyway?

That line shows how good he can be when he's accurate because he's got talent around him. The protection line is bull, though -- no quarterback can succeed without a line

Any idea who sings that little ditty? He looks familiar. I think he might be from Indiana.

Gee, it's really nice to see that after 5 1/2 seasons in the NFL he's finally developing an ability to effectively throw the ball. Maybe staying in the pocket and trying to complete a pass is a better option than panicking at the first sign of a pass rush and running like some slow footed tailback

It's really hard for a back to get 100 yards on just 10 carries a game.

Frank Gore manage to get 111 yards on 12 carries against the Bears.

As for Vick, today was he best he's ever played as a QB, an actual QB, since he entered the league.

Okay already!

Uncle!

I give!

I'll tell you what you want to know. Just please, please don't play that John Mellencamp song anymore!

I know his two TD catches came in catch-up mode today, but man, that Marques Colston kid for the Saints looks like the real deal. Prototype wide receiver.

And listed as a tight end after spending his entire collegiate career in the run-and-shoot.

All the money and time and manpower the NFL spends on the draft and it STILL misses guys like this.

Admission here: He played high school ball nearby. (Not that I'd feel any differently if he didn't.)

But the thing is, he wasn't the focal point for his high school team. The coach was one of these who was going to spread the wealth around regardless of who he had ... and Colston was like 6-2, 140 at the time.

But the guy is tall with speed and size. Unless he has hands of Featherstone, you have to wonder.

Henry Lee Summer? Have mercy. :o :o

And Adam Vinatieri does it again.

FWIW, that makes it 28 fourth-quarter game-winning drives for Manning in the regular season. However, he still has none in the playoffs. In other words, wake me up re: the Colts when the playoffs start.

Still enough time for the Raiders to blow this against the Steelers.

Jets just got reamed on a terrible call by the refs. Chris Baker makes an amazing game tying (with the XP) catch and they rule that he would have not come down in bounds. Awful call.
