I couldn't care less about 16-0 (although I really do want to beat Miami to avoid the '72 Dolphins party at the old folks home in Davie). All I care about is that the Bears win their 19th game of the season.

Boy won't you be bummed if that's the NFC title game. :D

out of place, you're better off arguing about last year's Super Bowl because these Steelers have the odor of 6-10. They aren't going anywhere but home to eat ham on Christmas Eve.

Actually, the Steelers will play host to the Ravens at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Christmas Eve, so yes, you're right. They will be at home eating ham that night!

I'm trying to remember a Steeler team that dug itself out of this big a hole at this point in a season. Maybe it's because they haven't been in many holes this deep in the last 20 years.

I can't think of one, either, and this is another dead-end position. They blew chances to beat Cincy, Atlanta and Oakland, and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Oz, I remember a Brister-led team just getting trucked by Cleveland in an opener, starting 0-2 and making the playoffs, but this is a different situation.

Nice throw into triple coverage there by Jake.

Remember a couple years ago when a poster here said Jake's aww shucks act was just that and he was a ***** boy even by ***** boy QB standards? Seems that is accurate. Seems like the cameras catch him hollering on the sidelines andthenturnawayrealquick to maintain the good ol' boy image.

Romo has looked pretty good. Might not be Tom Brady, but Drew's not getting his job back.

And with that touchdown, I think you can shut the door on a Panthers comeback.

So when do we start making the "Bledsoe 11" Raiders jerseys for 2007?

No way. He's not desperate enough to continue his career to go to Oakland. Plus, Andrew Walter man!!!! :D

Only places I can see him going are Cleveland, if the Browns decide Frye needs another year of backup seasoning, or the Jets, if Pennington gets cut in a cap move (don't know Pennington's cap number after this year). I'm sure Drew wouldn't mind going back to the AFC East to take one more shot at Belichick and Brady.

Other than that, I think he's off to Montana, never to be heard from again and doomed to be forever viewed as a vague disappointment.

We don't want his unpleasant ass. His father is enough of a ****, thankyouverymuch.

Really? You gotta expound on that SC.

Let's just say that his daddy was unhappy with the coverage his nonprofit got at a paper I worked at. Dickhead.

Excellent.

Packers win their third. I know -- they beat Detroit (there), Miami (there) and Arizona, but truthfully, I would have only considered the Cardinals win realistic going into the season (I envisioned a Lions split, loss at Ford Field). I'm half-impressed.
