Some things we learned this week, so far:
* The Bills are fine.
* The Panthers were cute for a second but back to being the Panthers.
* The Falcons are not serious.
* The 2025 Patriots are the 2024 Commanders, piling up wins on a pillow soft schedule. They have three legit chances for a loss remaining: at Tampa, home against the Bills, at Baltimore. They'll be 12-5 and we'll have no idea how good they are.

First couple of times I heard it, I thought it was cool. By the 34th time, I was ready to throw a brick at my screen.

The Patriots will meet --- and beat --- the Colts in the playoffs, and the 15-year Drake Maye vs. Daniel Jones rivalry will captivate the league.

For all of the things that Nike gets wrong (and there is plenty), the Broncos, Eagles and Seahawk throwbacks are so dead on.

They are old and slow. Giving Watt that huge contract was a massive mistake. They are getting the best quarterback play they have had in years and it won't matter because they can't stop anybody.

That one 59-yard play last night probably cost them the game and may end up costing them their season. Love just threw the ball up for grabs and Kraft adjusted better than DeShon Elliott. In fairness to Elliott, Kraft clearly pushed off to get him out of the way, one of a couple of blown no calls that turned the game early in that third quarter. That was a ball that should be intercepted. A turnover there would have been huge. Instead, the Packers had a huge play that set up a touchdown.

To make matters worse, the Steelers lost Elliott, probably for the season. He was their only decent safety. The Packers attacked the safeties the rest of the game with tremendous success. The other jump ball that worked, the one to Watson, was effective because the other starting safety failed to get deep enough. Thornhill is mediocre at best and the options to step in for Elliott are much worse than that. The middle of the field is going to be way too easy for opponents to attack the rest of the season.

Most importantly, the pass rush disappeared for the second consecutive game. Watt just isn't making enough plays and he's getting no help from anybody else up front. That defense has given up over 30 points four times in seven games and it's only going to get worse with a brutal schedule to come.

Nah, if you are going to do Eagle and Seahawk throwbacks you have to do the wide-mesh jerseys. And big numbers on the front for the Seahawks.

They are getting the best quarterback play they have had in years and it won't matter because they can't stop anybody.

Steelers fans have suffered with ****ty QB play for so long that they see Rodgers' perfectly average QB play and think it's great QB play.
