NFL Preseason thread

Nothing freaked me out more than when I was switching channels just now and saw the Redskins playing the Colts. What the ****?
When did the NFL start?

I love football season. I'll watch any game, college or pro. Quitting fantasy football last year increased my ability to just enjoy games, tenfold.

I still root for the Raiders and against the Chiefs and Chargers (I at least respect Denver), but other than that . . . .man, it's good to have football back.

Even if we're getting Jared Lorenzen vs. Colt Brennan right now.

Don't you know that Mike Cranston probably wants to shoot himself with the timing of this? And where have you been? :) The Panthers have already assessed Ritalin Child a two-game suspension.

This is the first game, and one bookend, while the NFC title game vs. Giants will be other bookend.
In between's a long, interesting season.

Super Bowl just may be the Saints' exciting finale.

But why are the Redskins and Colts playing FIVE preseason games? Four's at least one too many as it is. Play the Hall of Fame game, then give them a week off at some point.

I remember some coach last year (Dungy? Belichick?) pointing out how stupid it was that the teams playing in the Hall of Fame game get an extra week of practice so as to be properly prepared for the ultra-important preseason opener. Whoever it was had a point.
