Why has it been so hard for Leftwich to find work? I realize he's got less mobility than Sid Luckman's corpse, but considering some of the awful QB situations teams are facing, I figured he'd generate a little more interest.

As a backup, I think he is great, but a lot of people who know a lot more than we do about football have kept passing on him.

Hopefully he never takes a snap this season.

And a few teams are gonna enter the season with a lot worse as their starter, IMO.

What gets me about the QB situations around the league is that in the NFC North, for example, Aaron Rodgers, with zero starts on his resume, is the likely the best QB in the division right now. Sad.

John Lynch is apparently meeting with the Patriots.
The Patriots? meeting with another old guy on defense? surely you juest.

Don't forget about Jon Kitna. He's a "leader" because he yells at the defense and is a good Christian man.

Kitna's the kind of quarterback that will do just enough to make sure his team loses. But he's consistent.

Steelers play Bills tonight in a pre-season game at the Rogers Centre.

First of 8 Bills games in Toronto over the next five years: three pre-season and five regular seaons.

Mr. Rogers paid the Bills $78,000,000 dollars.

And already, the traffic is a mess.

The fact pallister and I can agree on so many different things, despite the fact I'm incredibly more educated, is heart-warming. :D

As bad as Kitna sucks, I'd take him ahead of the situations in Chicago and Minnesota. That, as you said, shows the utter ineptness of the NFC North.

GO LIONS!!!!!!!!

I'm sure that is for pedestrian safety incase Marshawn Lynch decides to drive to the game.

Not much of a preseason fan, and I despise everything about the Raiders (disgruntled L.A. Rams fan), but that TD pass by Ja'Marcus was pretty sweet.

Vince Young stinks.

LenDale White is better than most people give him credit for (Hi, Hammer!).

Zach Miller has played tonight like the player Jeremy Shockey wishes he could be.

Speaking of Young, I would like all the people who were sure he and Reggie Bush would revolutionize the game of football to get in a big, long line to have your NFL analysis cards taken away.

LenDale is talented.

He's just fat, too.

Hey, Johnny Lee, you're not Devin Hester.

EDIT: Hammer, he played on a bad knee last year, too. And his per-carry average wasn't good, but defenses stack the line because Young stinks and there's no good receivers for him to miss anyway. Maybe if he's got healthy wheels he'll stay in better shape.

A lower caloric intake would also help.
