New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in critical condition after being shot in Manhattan early Sunday morning.The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on West 38th street in Midtown, according to the NYPD.

The team put out a statement confirming the shooting but saying nothing more. Not even the obligatory “thoughts and prayers” for him. Seems odd.

I don't know how much Myers makes, maybe he's married into wealth, or comes from a rich family, but I don't know how you make ends meet working the schedule he does and knowing how much TV has clamped down on salaries for people not named Tom Brady. Is he frat bros with someone at Fox? I agree, it just seems odd. I could see him becoming the "voice" of some midwestern university's sports teams or something, maybe 10 years ago.
