Maybe the Jaguars are good. Maybe they aren't. But Liam Coen trying to hype up the joint in his opening presser will never not be funny.

Thursday night
San Francisco at L.A. Rams (-5.5/47.5), 815, PRIME

Bloody hell, what is this ****e?
Minnesota (-3.5/36.5) vs. Cleveland, 930a, NFL (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)

Sunday early
Las Vegas at Indianapolis (-6.5/47.5), FOX
N.Y. Giants at New Orleans (-1.5/40.5), CBS
Dallas (-2.5/47.5) at N.Y. Jets, FOX
Denver at Philadelphia (-3.5/43.5), CBS
Miami (-1.5/44.5) at Carolina, FOX
Houston at Baltimore (-3.5/43.5), CBS

Sunday late
Tennessee at Arizona (-7.5/41.5), CBS
Tampa Bay at Seattle (-3.5/44.5), CBS
Washington at L.A. Chargers (-3.5/47.5), FOX
Detroit (-9.5/49.5) at Cincinnati, FOX

Sunday night
New England at Buffalo (-7.5/49.5), 820, NBC

Monday night
Kansas City (-3.5/46.5) at Jacksonville, 815, ABC/ESPN

Byes
Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, Pittsburgh

* Really nice prove-it spot for Jacksonville this week. The Chiefs looked better last week, though a lot of that was on Baltimore's banged up defense.
* I feel like betting the Dallas over should just be automatic at this point?
* Giants/Saints and Dolphins/Panthers. WOOF.
* This feels like a huge spot for Washington, whose season can go completely off the rails fast here. Lose this one, you're 2-3 with a frisky Chicago on Monday night, then trips to Dallas and Kansas City before the Seahawks and Lions come to town. Hard to say the season might be on the line in Week 5, but it just might be.

Ravens favored? Do they really think Lamar is playing?

Scheduling note: sounds like the Seahawks home game could be moved to later in the day on Sunday as the next-door Mariners (probably) will be hosting an ALDS game around 1. Chances are good the other AL series, involving either the Yankees or Red Sox, will get the prime-time slot.

It's already in the late window. Would they do a Sunday night doubleheader and flex it to Peacock? That's the only later window that would work.

Browns expected to start Dillon Gabriel at QB, bench Joe Flacco after 1-3 start

Browns bench Flacco. Gabriel will start against the Vikings. It may not be ideal to give the rookie his first start while the team is dealing with an international trip, but it is certainly better than waiting a week and have it come in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have serious flaws, but the pass rush has been impressive and no team is as good at deflecting passes at the line of scrimmage than the Steelers. They have three interceptions this season on balls deflected at the line and Gabriel is 5-foot-11. Maybe. Probably even shorter than that.

Guessing it moves to Monday night and CBS holds onto it. Even if you played baseball at 1 p.m. PDT and football at 5 p.m. PDT, that doesn't really give enough time for the parking lots to clear/flip for the second game. Not to mention tailgating for football, etc. Ravens/Orioles have the same issue with the stadiums essentially right next to each other.

That likely is what will happen, moving it to Monday, and more likely to Paramount Plus.

You’d have to have it OTA in the home markets at a minimum and I’d guess any other regional markets closely tied to the teams would be given the chance to opt in as well. I doubt YouTubeTV is cool with taking a game out of Sunday Ticket inventory and giving it to another streamer.

Having it on OTA in the home market of course will happen. Happens already with Amazon and ESPN games. It's a one-off and a unique situation. YouTube TV will survive.

Could also happen on Monday, Oct. 20 when the Seahawks have MNF at home against the Texans and that would be a potential Game 7 of the ALCS.

Paramount Plus makes sense. It is not a national TV game, so why would it go to national CBS? Could see it going to CBS Sports Network, but PP is more likely.

In 2011 Philadelpia had the Eagles at 1/Phillies playoff at 8:30 home doubleheader, giving them a 4 hour gap between games. Not as easy to do in Seattle unless they do very late East Coast playoff TV time.

There were a situation in the 70s when the Raiders moved games from the Oakland Coliseum to Cal because of A's playoff games. Recall the Dolphins' win streak was snapped at Memorial Stadium. A season or two later, all the baseball postseason dates were against AFC West teams, so they just swapped home and away games, meaning the Raiders opened with, IIRC, six straight road games.

In 1984, the 49ers were scheduled to open at home vs. the Eagles, but the Giants had a Monday afternoon home game and there wasn't enough time to turn things around, so football was shifted to Saturday.
