People assume that pro athletes give 100 percent and are 100 percent focused every week. They are not.

This week, the Ravens will be 100 percent focused, and that will be the difference.

I see the Raven defense giving a performance they usually reserve for Pittsburgh. Denver could lose this game and be so beaten up by Baltimore that it sways the rest of their season.

We will see what happens, but I have way too much respect for Baltimore to think that Kyle Orton, a rookie coach and a rookie running back are going into "their house" and knocking them below .500.

It's one thing for Fox to keep him on board, but it's another for them to give him their appealing games. He was at Saints-Dolphins last week when he should have been kicking back in Oakland or Carolina.

To me, the only part of that which really matters is the home field, which makes me lean slightly toward Baltimore. I'm not a big fan of assuming one team will want it more than another. The Broncos seem to be doing a fine job of wanting it.

And this isn't the old Ravens defense. Losing Rex Ryan is making an impact. They are as vulnerable as they have been on that side of the ball in many years. If you want a good demonstration of the impact a defensive coordinator can make, look at the negative impact of losing Ryan in Baltimore and the positive impact Nolan has had in Denver.

Why not? The Broncos have been very good on both lines. The Ravens rely on winning the line of scrimmage, especially on defense. Orton is going to have to have a good game. If Captian Neckbeard cam come through, the Broncos have a good shot in this one.

The Ravens are coming off a bye week (I know Denver is as well), and Lewis and Reed have had two weeks to think about falling under .500 and two losses behind Pittsburgh.

They will not lose this game.

Again, why? Because Lewis and Reed really, really want to win? Sorry, not sold.

Should be interesting, though. Denver will definitely be tested over the next two weeks.

Baltimore is more desperate for a win than Denver, but that doesn't mean they are going to automatically win. The "experts" kept saying that there was no way the Titans would go winless every week because they needed the game so bad. Last time I checked they are still winless.

The Broncos have been doubted every week and are still undefeated. Baltimore's defense is a shell of its former self. Their cornerbacks are not very good. I think it will be a good game, but since it is in Baltimore I think the Ravens will win. 27-16.

Yeah but they have a better running back in Minnesota. And a better playmaker in Harvin. Don't try and tell me Howard is better than Harvin. I know he had a kick return in the Super Bowl, but still.

The Vikings' defense does not excite me and I think Harvin's a budding headcase.

Maybe, but I can't get past the facts. Denver has allowed only 66 points this season; Baltimore 130. The Ravens have also lost three in a row, one at home, the other two on the road by allowing at least 27 points. The Ravens might win, but they're not going to beat up or beat down the Broncos.
