THOUGHTS: Green Bay has never been a double-digit dog with Rodgers at QB, until now. ... Why is Tennessee only favored by 2? Strange. Houston stinks, but I guess it is an AFC South slog. ... Tompa gets Lamar on short rest. What could go wrong? ... Giants-Seattle actually should be very entertaining.

Lots of fun games in that lineup:

• Brady and the Bucs can't suck again ... can they?

• You are what your record says, of course, but the Raiders are a perfectly decent .500ish/6 or 7 seed type team that's wound up on the wrong side of some close game. I think the Saints are simply not good, and whatever success they're having is smoke and mirrors.

• I think the Jets might actually be pretty good. Losing Breece Hall will hurt, but that defense is on fire and a takeaway machine. You don't have to score 30 points a game if you only give up 17. But they're still at that stage where people are dismissing them just because they're the Jets. They'd be the 5-seed in the AFC right now. I'll ride them again.

• Three double-digit lines of varying flavors.
Bears-Cowboys is way too much for teams in a similar tier. I like the Bears +10.
Bills-Packers looks that way too, but the Bills have already covered those a couple of times this season and Aaron Rodgers sure looks like he's checking out on the season. Packers look like a 6-11 team. Probably a stay-away, but if I had to bet it I'd take the Bills.
And then the Steelers keep being frisky when we all know they suck. Steelers +9 might be a no go, but at +11 that's mighty tempting.

• I keep wondering how low is too low for a Broncos under, but they keep going under that bar like a damn limbo champion (one game so far where the total went over 35 points). They might be the perfect mix of great defense and ****ty offense to just do a think-don't-blink same-game parlay all season. It's not like the Jags are the second coming of the '99 Rams, so give me Jags -2.5 and the under and see if I can win some money before I wipe the crust out of my eyes.

Don't forget Card-Pitt!

I’ve always found it amusing that there was a missed opportunity to call them the Stardinals.

Although sometimes, they were called the Car-Pitts, because everyone walked on them. Not only were they winless, but they were one of two winless teams that year. There was also the Brooklyn Tigers, who had changed their name from the Dodgers. The Tigers and Card-Pitts didn’t play each other.

Probably would have ended in a scoreless tie.

The Jets did get a little help at running back, acquiring James Robinson from the Jaguars for a conditional draft pick. It will likely end up being a fifth-rounder. He certainly doesn't make up for losing Hall, but it helps them maintain the run-first offense.
More importantly, it helps my fantasy team, by clearing out the RB time share in Jax with Etienne, and maybe establishing Robinson as a #1 or #2 option in NY!

Legit question: during Steagles games, were any batteries thrown?
