Between the shortened OT (10 min instead of 15) and the both sides get a chance - has there been any study on how hard teams should play to avoid OT? Like soccer - it seems like most teams are fine with a tie - and hope for the other team to make a mistake they can pounce on. And sure - it is early in the season, but those tie games always seem to end up biting one team or another in the butt in December.

Rudolph jumped to throw the pass and his momentum carried him into Thomas' helmet. Thomas was jumping to try and knock down the pass and even aborted it a little and turned to the side when he saw the ball gone. Maybe a flag was warranted because of the way the rules are set up, but screaming for an ejection is a stretch.
Going all Zapruder Film on the replay, Thomas got him a little squarer on the jaw than I first thought. But I don't think it was a dirty play at all. Just an unfortunate one.

It was a bad day for the refs in Pittsburgh. A lot missed both ways.

I doubt it was intentional, But you have to throw a flag when the quarterback momentarily goes brain dead.

Yup. There was another contest after it was wrongly suggested that he no longer lives here and one of the TV anchors retired. He easily won. Great voice, great PA announcer.

This is a damn good Steeler defense and it’s young.

Offense couldn’t capitalize on the turnovers again. Humphrey made a damn good play to force the fumble on Juju, but he has to anticipate that given that Humphrey had tried and failed on the same move earlier in the game. Looked to me that the ravens defender touched the ball while out of bounds, which would have returned the ball to Pitt, but they said it didn’t. A lot to like in the game, but the Samuel INT was brutal and shows how little they trust Randolph to rip it. At some point you gotta take the training wheels off. That drive after he made that great play before getting knocked out seemed like a potential turning point to the season. But alas

LOL. They've played teams that are a combined 5-18. And one of those teams is 4-1 so four of their five wins are against teams that are 1-17, with a 2-3 team coming up this week. Usually you wait until November to hyperventilate and crown 'em.
