NFL Week 12 -- The Unbearable Weight of Caleb Williams

The Bucs are DONE. Everyone's banged up, they can't stop anyone on defense and now Mayfield may have lost both his arms. I think Carolina can win that division just by steering the car to 8-9.
Holy ... did I just read this?

The fact that the Panthers have progressed to being competitive is the next step. The division? Consistency, not the division, is the next logical step.

McCarthy is going to cost some people in Minnesota their jobs.
I wouldn’t let that kid start a hs game.

Dallas needs to go 5-1 down the stretch to make the postseason. I didn't think it was feasible a couple of weeks ago, but things change.

Next two weeks are huge -- KC at home on Thursday and at Detroit the following Thursday night. If they find a way to split, they close with Vikings and Chargers at home and Washington and the Giants away. 5-1 is absolutely in play.

The Bears' schedule really toughens up here at the end. They're 8-3 and probably need two more wins to feel great. They get a pissed off Philly team on Black Friday, then the Packers in Lambeau, Cleveland and the Pack at home, at 49ers, vs. Lions. That's not an easy run.

O'Connell built up an awful a lot of capital by winning 13 games with Cousins and 14 with Darnold. And most if not all of that capital is just about to go out the window in light of the McCarthy disaster. That they thought he was ready to be a starter for a contending team is really puzzling in retrospect.

And while it's not like they could have factored this in or can publicly cite this as an explanation, and I'm all in favor of parental involvement . . . having a newborn in the house probably is not doing a whole lot to help someone who's only 22 years old excel in his first season as an NFL starting quarterback.

And now the Cowboys are playing for a 60 yard field goal. I know Aubrey is awesome, but still.

EDIT: Never mind. The Eagles said, nah, try it from 40.
Pickens played like an absolute beast in that game. He now has more yards receiving this season by himself than the Steelers entire receiving corps. I don't care that Pickens is a jackass. The Cowboys robbed the Steelers blind on that trade.

That was OK. That cover of "In The Air Tonight" is crap. And, again folks, listen to the lyrics ... SMH ...
