I loved that Klosterman piece about steroids in the NFL. His point that Merriman weighs as much as Anthony Munoz and runs the 40 in about the same time as Jerry Rice should have made even the biggest morons start thinking.

I loved that Klosterman piece about steroids in the NFL. His point that Merriman weighs as much as Anthony Munoz and runs the 40 in about the same time as Jerry Rice should have made even the biggest morons start thinking.

But thinking about it will ruin the fun they have on Sundays. Better to just shake their fists at baseball.

Yeah, but at least we've got mute buttons (or John Murphy and Mark Kelso, in my case.) Bubbler, you have our sympathy. Good grief, are they atrocious -- we knew it was going to be bad, but THIS bad??!? I expect to hear better play-by-play at this week's high school game.

pall, Indy's starting offense did nothing (again) -- might have had something to do with J-Load taking the snaps -- but Harrison seemed to be moving well.

Turned it off. My ears could take no more, so I watched Mystery! on PBS instead.

It sounds like they could have messed up almost anyone wearing 51. Maybe even in Charlotte, too.

Losman was efficient, which is a welcome change for him. At one point, Buffalo had run something like 36 plays to Indy's seven. This is definitely not Steve Fairchild's offense ... and that's a good thing. Sorry about that, Colorado State.

Looks like Stroud only played the first quarter before they rotated Spencer Johnson in at that spot. He was double-teamed on Indy's first play from scrimmage, which ended with Kelsay and Schobel meeting at the quarterback. Had a shot at Addai in the backfield on the second play. The next time Indy got the ball, they ran away from him for their only first down of the quarter.

One scary moment, when Langston Walker went out of the game holding his left arm. Initial rumor was a broken forearm, but Jauron said the x-rays were negative and called it "a bad bruise."

Saw Jeff Saturday limping off the field, too. Not like the Colts needed any more bad news ...
