I mean, they're the Angels, they're going to suck out loud whether Mike Trout is watching weather videos on his Insta or not. But Max Scherzer pushed for a similar thing in Washington--not a cell phone ban, but asking guys to interact more with one another--after his first year in DC, so this isn't the worst idea in the world to foster some camaraderie.

Yeah. That ain't good. I saw that last night. I've been looking for updates because I kept him in two fantasy baseball leagues, but I also feel bad for the kid. He had been fantastic in his spring training appearances. He seemed to be finding a less predictable pitch mix to help enhance his stuff, which is nasty.

I didn't realize Povich was named the fifth starter even after they brought back Gibson. I wonder who gets bumped.

If Povich is set, and he should be after the past few outings, I have to think Dean Kremer's the odd man out for now. They love Sugano, and he's pulling in $13M this year to Kremer's $2.95M.

But it will wait for a bit, too. They plan on slowly building Gibson up to game-ready.

Five days later and there is no update. I did see one report that he has no damage to his UCL and the second opinion is meant to confirm their treatment plan, but I'm not sure I trust the source.

How far did they send him for the second opinion? Is it in California and they sent him by bus?
