Here it is.

For the love of God, country and those old Flavor-Ice summertime pops from when you were a kid, no ****ING Tony Romo hoseas, Mike-Vick-Sucks or comparing the NFL and MLB.

Though I'm certain all should and will occur.

Moving on, there should be some distinction drawn if and when Vick breaks Bobby Douglass' rushing record this week. Check out Randall Cunningham's running backs in 1990 when he rushed for 942 yards. Does anyone else recall Heath "Vampire" Sherman, the great Anthony Toney (I loved this guy in high school) or Thomas Sanders (a 1985 Bears alumnus?)

I remember Thomas Sanders, and I'm pretty sure Toney was a waiver pickup in my first fantasy football draft.

He was, pallister, he was a Buddy Ryan guy from the start.

And I always loved Toney. They never featured him, just like they never did Byars.

Should I bench Hasselbeck in my fantasy league considering the wind/rain storm that is supposed to hit Seattle this evening?

I was wondering the same thing. I have Philip Rivers vs. the Chiefs Sunday and think he might be a better option....

My problem is that my backup is Ben Roethlisberger and he is playing Carolina, but I think I am going to make the switch. Tonight is probably going to be a whole lot of Shaun Alexander and Frank Gore.

I think there aren't a whole lot of people who care about your fantasy teams.

I agree. I made the switch, too...... Rivers sounds like a much safer bet to me.

And?
And, perhaps, people reading about real sports don't want to read about your issues starting Matt Hasselback or how he's affecting your fantasy team.

Just a thought.

At least we aren't arguing about your boy Michael Vick.

And HB, I didn't feel like starting a new topic to ask about Hasselbeck, so I thought I would just put it in here.

Whither Tank Johnson?

(am I d_bing here?)

Weapons charges.

What's next? Alex Brown prostitution ring?

I just wonder why there isn't an all-purpose fantasy thread.

Snippet from ESPN.com:

The Seahawks, coming off a disappointing loss last weekend, look to get back on track tonight (8 ET) against the 49ers. The wind, which could gust up to 40-to-60 mph, might be a factor, reports John Clayton.

John Clayton repeats...

The wind might affect passing games? Really? [/sarcasm]

I heard a radio ad today mentioning the NFL Network has games tonight (SF vs. Seahawks) and Saturday (Dallas vs. Atlanta). I could have sworn I heard that **** Vermeil would be working the Cowboys game. I went to NFL Network and after a lot of checking figure this is what will happen.

From NFL Network's site ... Due to scheduling conflicts, Cris Collinsworth will work six of NFL Network's games with a yet-to-be-determined analyst paired with Gumbel on the Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 contests.

I figure Vermeil is the yet-to-be determined analyst since the broadcasters' page hasn't been updated since the start of the season. I know this doesn't affect any fantasy football fans, and it might not affect many others since NFL Network isn't in many homes, but I'm just saying ...

I have to say, this Thursday night NFL thing is doing nothing for me. I don't get NFL Network, but I really don't care about it.

Another thought. With all these games being proliferated at the end of the season, if you get NFLNET that'll be at least seven games a weekend, isn't this going to squeeze Sunday Ticket a bit. There are so many games on, and usually involving the top games, esp. on Sunday and Monday night, might not the market die a little?

Vermeil is the analyst TBA. Bryant Gumbel said it on last week's Steelers-Browns uglyfest..
