* I can't believe they didn't flex Buffalo/New England to Sunday night. Weird game to bury in the 1 p.m. slot, considering the current Sunday night game features two teams basically eliminated from the playoffs. Also, Vegas clearly doesn't believe in the Pats with that line.
* Looked it up, and the last time the Jags were at least a 12.5 favorite against anyone was when they were -13.5 against Oakland in 2007.
* Chargers can go ahead and mercy kill the Chiefs on Sunday.
* I know Seattle is good and Daniel Jones is hurt, but it's weird to see an 8-5 team as a nearly two TD dog.
* Load the **** up on the Steelers this week. I don't care how inconsistent they are. It's Tua and McDaniel outdoors on a day where the high temp in Pittsburgh is expected to be 19 degrees. This has 20-7 written all over it. I may dump half my 401K on that line.

I'm also surprised by the lack of respect for the Patriots at home.

I wouldn't touch that Monday night game. Yes, the Dolphins struggle in the cold, but they have been running the ball and playing great defense during their four-game winning streak. The Steelers are flawed and erratic, with a weak run defense and way too many injuries. They have three starters in the concussion protocol and two others who missed the Baltimore game with other injuries.

The Steelers gave up nearly 500 yards rushing combined over the last two weeks. It is amazing what Derrick Harmon means to that defense as a rookie. When he plays, the defense gives up about 96 yards rushing per game. Without him, that number jumps to 191 yards per game. He is trying to come back from a knee problem and safety Kyle Dugger missed the last game with a hand injury.

Their offense could be without left tackle Andrus Peat and tight end Darnell Washington, who are both in the concussion protocol. Washington is a huge part of the offense as a blocker and emerging threat as a receiver. Peat is filling in for starter Broderick Jones, who is on IR. Next up is a guy who just came up from the practice squad last week. If all the injured guys don't play Monday night, the Dolphins should be favored.

Chiefs are actually -4.5, not the Chargers.

Buffalo/New England was protected from flex. At least one division game airs on the "conference" network. CBS has the AFC and Fox has the NFC. The first Buffalo/New England game was a Sunday nighter so this one had to stay on CBS.

I was going to assume we'd get Nantz and Romo "Mr. Kraft"-ing all over the place, but they'll probably be at Packers-Broncos, won't they?

They are indeed here. CBS and Fox both have doubleheaders this week. Ian Eagle and J.J. Watt will be in Foxborough.

Thanks for the housekeeping. Need more coffee before posting.
