NFL Week 15 -- Call me Maye-be

I'm a little of both. I respect his ability. I think he is a very good coach. I also think it may be time to move on.

Do I hope he proves me wrong with a miraculous run that ends with a Super Bowl victory? Of course I do. I just don't think it can happen with this team.

That doesn't mean I'm not impressed with what he did last night. His Steelers went into that game with their fourth-string left tackle. They were missing three defensive starters, including T.J. Watt. They lost their starting left guard and Watt's replacement during the game. They were also facing an opponent that had won four in a row with the kind of running game to take advantage of the Steelers' weakness in that area.

Rodgers deserves a lot of credit for the Steelers overcoming all that, but so does Tomlin. It's rare to see an NFL head coach so clearly and so badly outclass his opponent, but last night, Tomlin showed why he is headed for a gold jacket and McDaniel is headed for unemployment.

Gainwell has been an excellent free agent signing by the Steelers. Just a damn good back who realized there was no real paycheck in a life as Saquon Barkley's backup.

Agreed. Oddly enough, his numbers when he did play last year weren't very good, but he has been far better than I thought he could be. He has given them both a replacement for Najee Harris in sharing the running back job with Warren and a key weapon in the passing game.

* Load the **** up on the Steelers this week. I don't care how inconsistent they are. It's Tua and McDaniel outdoors on a day where the high temp in Pittsburgh is expected to be 19 degrees. This has 20-7 written all over it. I may dump half my 401K on that line.
I hope you didn't! I did take the under in this as well and was so pissed at the 4th quarter. It was going along so nicely .. and then the Steelers had to get to 28 too quickly.

If I would have loaded up on that spread, I would have been golden. Alas, I had tickets to a local college hoops game and forgot to bet it. Of course, the one time I would have been right this NFL season...

Last night’s game was over about 10 seconds before kickoff and they showed Mike McDaniel with his right eyeglass lens frozen over and it looked like he was wearing an eyepatch

I was going to post after their third straight 3 and out but also thought they'd still probably kick Miami's ass.

They scored on what, 4 straight possessions?

The Steelers are either totally boring or rise up and punch you in the balls.
