NFL Week 3 thread

I saw that yesterday.
You think Tomlin intentionally, under-reported Shazier's non-significant shoulder?
When he came off the field it looked like more than a stinger. With his shoulder in a sling, it won't surprise me if fails to play next week or the week after.

An NFL head coach downplaying an injury? Unpossible!

More seriously, I hope you are wrong about that, but it does seem like this is more than a one-week injury. They really have done a nice job rebuilding the front seven, but they really need Shazier out there to make it work. His speed just gives them options that won't be there with Spence or Williams on the field. They might have gone with more 4-3 looks, but McCullers is also out this week.

The short week won't help.

Rams are very capable of winning today... Tavon on special teams and against that secondary? Gurley to make his debut, though they have a young, inexperienced front line. They have a great front four, so the O-line is going to be tested.
If this game comes down to Scobee's leg, we are prolly screwed.

It's about four feet in diameter and delaying the game. The black pellets used to fill are made from rubber like you use on a tire. So, these things could also be smoldering.

It was a fireworks display on the team entrance that ignited the field. They probably have a heat shield of some type on these pyrotechnics, and someone probably ****ed up and forgot to put it down.

The NFL guru they put on screen to talk about the problem said they had a similar problem at the Astrodome.

I guess they put it out with a dot matrix printer and some parachute pants.

They could cut a piece of the sideline and glue it down if they had to. It would just mean a 4 pm start.

No point spreads that stick out, except for Packers -6.5 over KC.

Yet I am in a quandary.

My intense dislike for all things Peyton Manning is well known here.

I also hold, in my desk, a Venetian Sports Book slip for a substantial sum with the Lions UNDER 8.5 wins for +180.

I hate Peyton. I like money. Being a KC guy, I hate the Broncos.

All that being said, Go Peyton. Go Denver. Pay up.

It would be nice to see a delay of game flag on the Rams.

I'm not sure why it wasn't one, though it wouldn't have made much difference on that first drive. Steelers charge down the field, then bog down in close and settle for a short field goal.
