Historically, I would agree, but the west coast teams are 4-0 outright this year in 1pm ET starts: Seahawks and Raiders in week 1, Rams and 49ers in week 2.

Money has been pouring in on the Texans, from +6 to +4. They are a "good" 0-2, given that it was KC and Balt. Bad news is their coach is still Bill O'Brien.

The Texans played arguably the two best teams in the league. The Steelers have been shaky against two weak opponents. I can see why Houston is a popular bet.

Watson gives Houston the chance to win any game, but the rest of that team is not of playoff caliber. He could well come up big Sunday, but I wouldn't bet the Texans.

Maybe Belichick’s greatest strength is hiring great assistant coaches

Bill Belichick knows how to fit people in the correct roles and masterfully gets them to do their jobs, or helps them along until they can do their specified jobs better.

But how many of them are learning outside their specific roles? How many of them are learning other facets to better prepare position coaches to become coordinators, and coordinators to become head coaches? He's not following them to their next positions to help them along until it's time to take off the training wheels.
