Yes he did. Not drafted by the Chiefs, though. Drafted and later cut by the Dolphins in 1978, and then signed with the Chiefs and played his entire career with them.

Can we just admit that judging a QB on record alone is simplistic, especially a college record?

Tries to keep it balanced with pros and cons, but this line sums up the Bears' pick for me:

When the Browns were considering Trubisky as the first pick, the argument was being thrown around that the price shouldn't matter and that they should grab Trubisky if they think he's their quarterback of the future, regardless of the cost. I'm not sure that logic holds up to sound reasoning, both for the Browns and the Bears. It's a little bit like being hungry and paying $200 for a hamburger.

No. Unless Mike Glennon breaks his solar plexus (meowmeowmeow), Trubisky won't get thrown to the wolves in Week 1 like Leaf was. Also, Leaf was a tub of goo.

Agree. And if Glennon starts the first half of the year and stinks, the team's out of the playoffs anyway so Trubisky can have a longer leash.
