Alabama defender is coming in on Tennessee's QB, who throws the ball. Defender comes to a full stop, then takes one step well after the ball was out and shoves the QB to the ground for the hell of it. Tennessee's QB falls, hits his head on a lineman's knee, and is likely out for the game with a concussion.
They call targeting, which (rightly) is reversed on review. The defender shoved him in the chest/shoulder, and didn't hit him in the head. But how in the hell is that not roughing the passer when the defender clearly took an extra and unnecessary step to blast the guy?
