Remember when Miami-Florida State used to be must watch?
meh.
Most entertaining game this week will be SMU @ Memphis. Defense not only optional, but discouraged. Take WAY over 68.5
I'm going out on that red/blue limb again this week. KU beats Kansas State outright.
How much bollocks is this week that FOX has to put Nebraska @ Purdue on? yeeks.
I never thought I would see the day Indiana (FOOTBALL) was giving double digit points to anyone.
I think the Domers take out their frustration on Lunchbox, Inc. after the Ann Arbor debacle. Give the 17.5.

Roadies for the two Pac-12 playoff hopefuls in sane hours ET. Good week to actually catch an Oregon second half.

As an IU grad, believe me it's surreal. And I can't make an argument for taking the points with Northwestern, not with how they've scored a grand total of 38 points in five conference games this year.

I'd give Kansas twice as many points and still win that bet. The Mildcats will eat the Jayclucks for lunch.

Clearly I'm not much of a bettor - but when you hear "advice" like Team X is 9-2 against the spread following a home loss (or whatever), the "advice" isn't saying that Team X is conscious of this history, but more likely that there might be some extra value within the spread itself. Is that it? Do linemakers not factor in team history, or other ATS stats when making the lines? Do you look for public movement that runs counter to the history?

I don't think linemakers factor in team history. They're looking at the present-day matchup/stats, homefield, injuries. Bettors, especially the public, put stock into history and trends, which might then adjust the line. Sometimes the trends hold true but blindly betting them isn't a long-term recipe for profit.

Personally, I like to bet against the public as much as possible. One example is the total in the Thursday/Friday primetime games, the oddsmakers will shade those high because people love to root for points, and sometimes those lines move even higher. But this year, the unders have been very profitable.

OK.
Avatar bet for 1 week.
I'll take KU and the 6.5 points.
Ask @BitterYoungMatador2 how that worked out for him this past Saturday.

Are you wanting to use a ?uestion mark as an avatar? I don't have one because I don't know how to upload one, and, really, because I don't care. But, sure, I'll take that bet.

Lunchbox Inc. is a tremendous nickname.

One of my favorite memories took place the night before the Florida-Georgia game
I don’t know how we got there but me and two Atlanta reporters were at a Ramada Inn in Jax on the Friday before the game
The bar had a classic Bill Murray lounge singer
We kept requesting Feelings and kept singing it with him, loudly and drunkenly
Of course we ended the night at Waffle House

I'll email the losing avatar to you.
If you want to know how to do it, go to Google.....find a picture you want.....save it to your desktop.....go to front page here and upload it.

I'll be away from the ability to legally bet this weekend so placing my action early. Lots of parlays at smaller stakes:

Tonight: Pelicans OVER 223, Baylor -18

Saturday: Syracuse -3.5, Michigan -21, Kansas State -6, Arkansas-Cowbell UNDER 58.5, Tennessee -12

Saturday: Florida +6.5, Georgia/FL U 44.5, Washington +3.5, Washington/Utah 47.5

Sunday: Patriots -3, Packers -3.5, Panthers -4, Cowboys-Giants Under 48

This has me intrigued.
Now comes the colossal bed-****ting after everyone is back on the blue/maize wagon after the thumping of the Domers.
On the road. Early kick.

I'm also looking for a handful of teams that have quit.

Northwestern. Maryland. Colorado's defense.

Any time I can fade Mike Locksley, I absolutely will.

Fair enough.
I said this a few weeks ago. The good people of the 303 will regret the Mel Tucker hire.

I just saw where LSU @ Alabama is a 2:30 kick next week.
What.....CBS didn't want to go up against Clemson @ NC State?
