I could see them going 12 to try and get them that fun 12-5 matchup. But if they did, they would be first four and would have to win that game, too.
I actually wonder if the PR backlash would be bad if they went to Dayton. The NCAA is not in a great spot with Miami of Ohio, unless they just say screw it and make them safe. No one would really question that.

I don't know about that, but Akron has to win the MAC tournament now.
Why? Akron wasn't getting an at-large.

I think the idea is that would be the best way to prop up Miami’s metrics, since the Zips are their only semi-notable opponent.
Maybe, but that would be a terrible talking point for the NCAA. Akron really should have nothing to do with Miami of Ohio. Conferences aren't supposed to have quotas and crap. Miami losing should just mean the MAC gets two if they give Miami a bid.
ESPN just showed Miami's WAB and it is 33 and their strength of record, which has been used heavily in recent years, is 21. The rest is crap, but considering they went 31-0 before losing, those two are probably enough to keep them safe, even out of Dayton.

I think Miami will be OK because virtually every bubble team outside the SEC (maybe the two longest shots) have shot off their dicks in spectacular fashion.

Jeff Lebo but make him a nepo baby.
Lebo was one of my favorite players growing up. Met him in Augusta when I was bartending at a restaurant and he was there for some high school or AAU tourney. I didn’t recognize him since, you know, he’s bald. Sent me a couple Auburn tshirts and an autographed something or other. Solidified his standing as one of my favorite players from the 80s.

Posting here as well since I have no clue which thread we're using at this point.
Excited to settle in to watch a bunch of games today now that I'm home and took the day off to recalibrate, do chores, etc.
Today's big 'uns:
* Ohio State-Michigan ... The Buckeyes are probably in but can lock it down by beating their rivals.
* George Washington-Saint Louis ... Billikens are most certainly in, but an early tourney loss opens the door for a bid thief from the A-10.
* Seton Hall-St. John's ... Pretty much a must win for the Pirates.
* Duquesne-VCU ... I think the Rams are in, probably going to Dayton, but they cannot afford a misstep early in the tournament. Must-win territory tonight.
* New Mexico-San Diego State ... Late-night loser leaves town game.
