UW Huskies finish off their meh season with a loss to Wisconsin in the B1G tourney. But their one-and-done freshman, Hannes Steinbach, closed it out in style with 25 points,16 rebounds, 3 blocked shots vs. the Badgers. The guy averaged a double-double this season (18.3 points, 11.6 rebounds a game).

So it was ****ty, but good enough for the entire women's tournament and the first 3 days of the men's tournament.

But once we get down to the games that matter, it's worth fixing.

Got it.

More like they couldn’t bull**** any further once Texas Tech’s point guard slipped and couldn’t finish the game.

Excited to settle in to watch a bunch of games today now that I'm home and took the day off to recalibrate, do chores, etc.

Today's big 'uns:
* Ohio State-Michigan ... The Buckeyes are probably in but can lock it down by beating their rivals.
* George Washington-Saint Louis ... Billikens are most certainly in, but an early tourney loss opens the door for a bid thief from the A-10.
* Seton Hall-St. John's ... Pretty much a must win for the Pirates.
* Duquesne-VCU ... I think the Rams are in, probably going to Dayton, but they cannot afford a misstep early in the tournament. Must-win territory tonight.
* New Mexico-San Diego State ... Late-night loser leaves town game.

New Mexico-San Diego State is interesting because I think both are more alive for an at-large than many give them credit for. Especially with the terrible bubble and a few teams already flaming out. The winner honestly could be in, unless the bracket is already set.

I don't see any world where the A-10 gets three in. If SLU loses, that means a couple of things for VCU. The Rams lose the one opponent that beat them twice this year. That's good. But that also means the Rams probably have to win the tournament, because any loss to anyone other than the Billikens would be a bad one.

I honestly believe at this point that they have no interest in being competitive in sports. They'll just take the ACC television welfare check and be the Polish/German version of Boston College, although even BC managed to fire its coach this week. That decade where they made the Big East title game seven out of eight years and were the hottest ticket in town for a decade feels like 100 years ago.

Maybe the Big 12 can ship the floor to some school in Africa like they do with the losing Super Bowl team’s apparel.

Awwwww, there goes Gardner-Webb’s shot.

And Green Bay’s!

I imagine a few teams have already accepted the Fox Sports tourney, and I think having Gottlieb coaching the Phoenix might get them in. He's done a decent job this year after last season's garbage fire.
