Chiming in with dreunc. Fox might be evil on some level, but Arrested Development is the greatest sitcom ever. They may have jerked it around, but they gave it a chance in the first place. Any network that does that has a soft spot in my heart.

I thought it was interesting that Topher Grace wasn't among the "That's 70s Show" panelists. I get the sense he's worried about being forever typecast as Eric Foreman.

Reading between the lines, it always seemed like he didn't get along with the rest of the cast. I remember reading stories about how he didn't like the "Hollywood lifestyle" Kutcher and the others were getting into and hung around with friends from back home instead.

I always figured it had a lot to do with him leaving the show.

I remember before the last two seasons, they offered Grace and Kutcher huge contracts where they got something like $300K an episode. Kutcher signed, but Grace said he would only do one more year. I remember reading, probably right around the time Spiderman 3 came out, that Grace said he realized he was only doing it for the money and that was why he quit.

I know Kutcher, Masterson, Valderrama, Prepon and Kunis were and still are all really good friends. I wonder if Grace was the odd man out with that crew.

I wonder if Masterson wasn't in the reunion part because he is in a new show?

Taped this but did not watch it yet. How old school did they go? Fox season one was made up of shows like The Adventures of Beans Baxter, Werewolf, Mr. President, Second Chance, etc. Any love for any of those last night?

Yeah, the logo of the show was shown for some of those, but they didn't go into about the show.

I've never seen Arrested Development (ducking). But I'm going to seek it out after last night's scene in which someone says he was the first person to be both an analyst and a therapist. "You almost got arrested for that," says Portia DeRossi, at which point we see his business cards that read "Analrapist." We rewound three times and laughed harder every time.

Married with Children is the best thing ever to air on Fox. Might not even be close, although Arrested Development and Family Guy would be 2-3. Simpsons fourth. That, or Cops.

Edit... In Living Color is 2 and everything gets bumped down a notch.

But I think I'd forgotten that they were the pioneer for putting the score/time on the screen permanently. Hard to believe how relatively recent an innovation that actually is.

Joan Rivers ultimately bombed, but she was a pretty big get to start out. Carson never forgave them for that.

Married with Children was their first hit and the Simpsons followed shortly, but let's not forget 90210 and 21 Jump Street. The game-changer was getting the NFL and getting affiliates (mostly in NFC markets like Dallas) to switch to VHF channels.

Two of my all-time favorite shows (Simpsons and the X-Files) were on Fox but I never got into another show on the network. As an aside, seriously people forget how damn funny some X-Files episodes were. The one with Michael McKean and Nora Dunn is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

I think I've probably watched every episode at least five times. That's a conservative estimate. It's incredibly rewatchable.
