Fox TV Network plans to celebrate its 25th anniv. with a special and some airings of its best shows. The way things are with TV today, could some of us look at THIS as "the good old days"? It was "edgy" then, and set a lot of folks off because of it.

What do SportsJournalists.com'ers think (especially we older folks.....).

I watched it last night. It was well-done, in part because Fox had no problem talking about the long list of failures...

My favorite Fox show ever is X-Files. I'm not a big Sci-Fi guy, but I loved that show. I also think That 70's Show is a truly great show. Few shows are that much fun and made me laugh that consistently. It's the only show in syndication that I still watch.

Never seen X Files or 70s Show. Was tempted to watch 24 until I found out there were 195 episodes. Pass.

I watched the special last night and found myself saying "Oh, God. I watched that?" more times than I'd prefer.

I was proud of myself for not watching Joe Millionaire. I am not proud of myself for watching "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancee" and "The Littlest Groom"

I thought it was interesting that Topher Grace wasn't among the "That's 70s Show" panelists. I get the sense he's worried about being forever typecast as Eric Foreman.

Sonner, I'll lend you the first two seasons of 24 on DVD. Guaranteed you'll get hooked. I watched the entire first season in about three days. It was riveting.

Granted, some of the later seasons were trifling, but when that show clicked, it was as good as anything on TV.

Yep, this is right. Give it a shot, Sonner.

My buddy had a theory that all the prime-number seasons of 24 were worth watching. Kind of fell apart with Season 7, but was otherwise just about right.

Reading between the lines, it always seemed like he didn't get along with the rest of the cast. I remember reading stories about how he didn't like the "Hollywood lifestyle" Kutcher and the others were getting into and hung around with friends from back home instead.

I always figured it had a lot to do with him leaving the show.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was to spend more time doing this:

Loved Joe Millionaire for the hilarity of it all. It sort of mocked all those dating shows people went ape**** over otherwise.

Was Parker Lewis on there?

I don't think Parker Lewis was ever seen or mentioned.

I remember before the last two seasons, they offered Grace and Kutcher huge contracts where they got something like $300K an episode. Kutcher signed, but Grace said he would only do one more year. I remember reading, probably right around the time Spiderman 3 came out, that Grace said he realized he was only doing it for the money and that was why he quit.

I know Kutcher, Masterson, Valderrama, Prepon and Kunis were and still are all really good friends. I wonder if Grace was the odd man out with that crew.

My dad was the first GM of the Fox station in OKC. The station had previously been a 24-hour religious affiliate. People tuned in one night to watch whatever sermon they were waiting for and got Al Bundy instead.

Dad got death threats. People thought Married with Children was being filmed in the studios in OKC. One lunatic showed up with a sawed-off shotgun. Wild times.

On a fun side note (and BYH is insanely jealous of this story), when my dad ran the Fox affiliate in Richmond, several members of the cast of 90210 came into town for promotional appearances. I met all of them and went to Pizza Hut with Gabrielle Carteris. She was so freaking nice, and I was the coolest person in my middle school for 24 hours. And then I sucked again.

What about Herman's Head?

The wife and I were both hoping so, but no dice. I really wanted to see the In Living Color segment, but they teased it all the way to the final segment. Bastards. Coming up next? Nope. Coming up last!
