What is Jeremy Schaap and Mort smoking?

So for time immemorial, the team with the worst record gets the No. 1 draft pick, but not the Jaguars, according to these clowns?

Ted Lasso

The Premiership might do it right.

Should we keep eight NFL teams in relegation? Six?

You bet your ass that week 17 would not be so boring.

Haskins was toxic to that locker room and that entire team. I don't know if Taylor Heinicke can lead WFT to a win in Philly Sunday night, but I know for sure Haskins is not capable of it. He got enough chances. We saw what we needed to see. Maybe he makes something out of a fresh-start second chance somewhere, and if he does, so be it. No rearview mirror gazing on this one. He was not going to work in Washington.
Does anyone else when they see "WFT" wish for just a sec it was "WTF"??

The league needs to get rid of about four teams, not just one. But it likes selling bad football too much.

Funny how none of this was brought up when everyone thought the Jets were a lock for the pick. (pun non-intentional, but oh so clever.)

Also - while not the top pick, the Haskins situation in DC has to be one of the bigger fiascos in recent NFL history. The WFTs reached on draft day because the owner's son knew the guy - and well what happened, happened. What a joke. It makes Johnny Manziell look like just a miss.

Oh God, I've been trying to think of a comparison all morning. JaMarcus Russell just didn't feel right. Manziell is better: A guy who was good in college but had questions and was the author of his own undoing.

His undoing was that he is a terrible QB.

Ryan Leaf was a big miss - but there weren't many doubters on Leaf anywhere leading up to that draft. Maybe they preferered Manning over Leaf, but nobody was saying he's wasn't worthy of a top pick. Of course, after he bombed - then the stories came out about what a jerk he was in college.

The other unsaid part ... Haskins was foisted on to The Football Team as a Snyder pet draft pick.

The move indicates that while this is Snyder's franchise - Football Team, if you wish - this is Rivera's roster.
I never thought I would defend Dan Synder but I think they had little choice but to pick Haskins. The Redskins had a 35 year old QB, Alex Smith, who would be out for at least a season. They need to bring a quarterback in. Jones is already gone. The next QB to come off the board was Drew Lock, who has also struggled. The Redskins really had no chocie.

The self proclaimed board historian. You give yourself your own nickname as well?
I never said any such thing.
I've written more than you've ever read about these and other topics. I'll say that.

I hate this reasoning. You don’t pick someone unless you believe in them, he was picked way to high.

It's not about the Jags as much as it is a matter of bitterness that a New York team was about to get Trevor Lawrence but will have to settle for somebody with less name recognition.
