Barry Bonds a Tampa Bay Ray?

I wouldn't read too much into this, but it would make a huge splash for the franchise.

Fits right in with their youth movement...

Twins fans help us out, and I know there's Rosie and a few others, what do you expect out of Francisco Liriano this season and when will he be ready?

Eh, it's a big bat in the middle of the lineup. And as Olney noted in his blog, it would be a pretty good lineup to go with some good young pitching.

He would probably also put some bums in seats at Tropicana Field, which would be a big thing for a franchise that has never drawn consistently unless the Red Sox or Yankees are in town.

Rosie and a few others, eh?

That stings, casty. And, last I heard, they were still hoping Liriano would be ready for opening day.

Better hold off on that Cooperstown bust for Scott Kazmir:

I see TJ surgery in the near future.

Ah, crap. This puts that potential .500 season on hold if he's hurt.

Zeke, please accept my apology. I had a momentary lapse and didn't include you specifically. I guess my age is catching up to me.

Anyway, do you have hopes that Liriano can return to what he was two seasons ago?

Wasn't the slider a big part of his success, but the Twins are concerned about the strain it puts on his elbow?

Appearently the Brew crew is considering hitting the pitcher in the No. 8 spot this year.

Rob Neyer has more:

Interesting concept, but I think it would be doomed to fail in the instance mainly because it relies on Jason "How the hell do I still have starting spot on a major league team" Kendall getting on base.
Whatever helps you win I guess.

Like the one Victor Zambrano had two years ago?
