Stadiums never hit me in the feels the way the old school arenas do.

If I could go back and see and cover games at places like Chicago Stadium, Montreal Forum, Maple Leaf Gardens and St. Louis Arena, I'd book my plane ticket right now.

My first time covering a game in Chicago Stadium, I arrived super early and spent a long time roaming around the downstairs area, where the locker rooms are. Encountered a couple of the place's legendary cat residents, and rounded one obscure corners to surprise Phil Jackson, who was sitting alone and blazing a heater.
