Was it the 1995 Devils who were the first to do the spend a day with the Cup thing for everyone in the organization?
I remember talking to Troy Brouwer about it years ago, when he was still in Washington and the only Capitals players at the time with a Cup. The way he talked about it, it is NOT some inanimate object. His dad had a stroke before the playoffs started and was still in the hospital after the Blackhawks won. So when the Cup showed up at Brouwer's house, the first stop was the hospital.
Eric Fehr talked a bit about spending a day with the Calder Cup. "Not quite the same thing," he said, laughing.
