Fast food is getting to the point where regular restaurants are a cheaper option.
Freddy's and Slim Chickens are my go-to reasonably priced FF places. Oh, and Schlotzsky's. And Chicken Salad Chick. And Teriyaki Madness. Regular restaurants generally double the price of my FF meals.

It's been at least 20 years, maybe 25, and I still remember the time I hit up the all you can eat ribs at a local BBQ joint on a Saturday night off of work.
Not long after I left I felt the rumblings and knew it would be bad. So bad that I made a pit stop at the office specifically because we had toilets with a high-power flush. I was afraid my ordinary home bowl couldn't handle what was coming.
It was a shrewd and wise decision. That home toilet would have had no chance whatsoever.

You're speaking my language, especially with Schlotzky's and Chicken Salad Chick. Also Freddy's, which I think has the best burgers in the FF game, along with Culver's.

Feels like with *some* FF places, getting and ordering through their app can yield some good deals to make it reasonable.

Heard a co-worker complain about Taco Bell and how much their prices have gone up. For that quality of food, feels ridiculous (if the prices he was talking about were accurate).

I very, very rarely get lettuce of any sort when getting a burger or sub, even though I generally like it. Never know how long it has been sitting out or when it was prepared.

This goes quadruple for joints that shred their lettuce. I don’t care for shredded lettuce in the first place, but I also had a bad experience.

I once hit a late night Jimmy John’s in Champaign as it was the only thing open on a drive home. I mindlessly ordered without implementing my usual “no lettuce” policy.

I get back on the road, take a bite, and immediately I’m smacked to my core with this terrible rancid taste. I turned on the dome light and the salad, all of it, was brown. Disgusting. I tried to scrape it off, but with mayo and the nature of shredded lettuce, you really can’t. So I angrily just threw the whole kit and kaboodle out of my car window.

The sandwich struck a biker, who wiped out. When I went to check on him, he booted my dog into the Pacific Ocean. Strange.

To me, Slim Chickens is more expensive than Zaxby’s or a couple of our more local chains, with only a small increase in quality that doesn’t justify the jump up.

As I recall, the last time I ate at our local Burger King, the food was mediocre at best.

But my youngest had it twice while out with his community hab aide, and the both times, next morning at his judo class, he puked up all over the mat. We told the aide, “no more Burger King.”

Booger King is definitely not in my rotation. Can't remember the last time I darkened their doors, and for sure haven't had a beef product there for more than 40 years. Not that I eat much beef these days, chicken is king now!

I’ll get a BK crossiant and coffee in a pinch, but that’s it. Their burgers do nothing for me and they screwed up their fries several years ago.

BK has improved recently, but still way off its peak. Maybe every couple of months, I would go for a Texas Double Whopper (not sure if those are nationwide but I have gotten them in Oklahoma before).

I would prefer BK over McD’s hands down.
