As much bad QB play there is in the league this year, let's give a shoutout to C.J. Stroud, who it putting together one hell of a rookie season -- 2,270 passing yards, 14 TD, 1 INT. Only one other QB who has started all of his team's games has thrown as few as three picks: Lamar Jackson.
Onto the games.
Thursday night (Al Michaels Surrender Cobra Special)
Carolina at Chicago (-3.5/39.5), 815, PRIME
Prost!
Indianapolis (-2/43.5) vs. New England in Frankfurt, 930, NFL
Sunday early
Houston at Cincinnati (-7/48.5), CBS
New Orleans (-2.5/41.5) at Minnesota, FOX
Green Bay at Pittsburgh (-3/37.5), CBS
Tennessee at Tampa Bay (-1.5/38.5), CBS
San Francisco (-3/45.5) at Jacksonville, FOX
Cleveland at Baltimore (-6/37.5), FOX
Sunday late
Washington at Seattle (-6.5/45.5), FOX
Atlanta (-1/42.5) at Arizona, CBS
Detroit (-1.5/48.5) at L.A. Chargers, CBS
N.Y. Giants at Dallas (-16.5/38.5), FOX
Sunday night
N.Y. Jets (-1.5/35.5) at Las Vegas, NBC
Monday night
Denver at Buffalo (-7.5/46.5), ABC/ESPN
* That's actually a really good early slate. Houston/Cincy is all of a sudden a very interesting game. New Orleans/Minnesota could be for the inside track at a playoff spot in the NFC. We'll find out if Jacksonville belongs when they play the Niners. Cleveland/Baltimore should be fun as well.
* Seems like Kyler Murray will be back. Atlanta is worth watching simply for the Arthur Smith trainwreck factor.
* Those standalone games, though ... yuck. Seems like Vegas is picking a 20-14 type of game for Jets/Raiders, which won't keep people tuned in on Sunday night.
