Washington had its timeouts and would've used one anyway if McFadden had stayed inbounds. The timeout situation didn't come into play at the end. The bigger factor was McFadden scoring with so much time left and then the Skins doing the same.

So DeSean pulled the bigger boner.

Jackson was the biggest boner, but what Dallas should have done is just run McFadden in the middle, let Washington call the timeout, then take two knees while the Redskins used their last timeout, then kick.

Eh, I don't think much of a guy who has decided to go into seasons with 50-year-old Rodney Peete and Matt Moore as starters.
Seems like he has a habit of throwing his support behind guys who can't play.
To me, Tebowmania was proof of how awful college football is, that this turkey was considered its greatest player.

Agreed. College QBs are for the most part awful and unprepared for the next level. (Insert obligatory Cam Newton quote joke, ha, ha ... But I not backing off my pre-draft claim) ...
Did anyone watch the championship games last weekend? The Iowa and Michigan State QBs, are terrible. So are the 'Bama and Florida QBs. I don't know about reading defense, but throwing a decent pass to a running target was major ****ing challenge for those guys.
Tebow, Newton, Kapernick, Griffin are all the same mold. Run first., Read option. Throw ... maybe. Newton has proven to the rare exception (though, again, his passing skills are far from elite).

Fox didn't just throw him out there and hope for the best. He completely remade his offense to take advantage of Tebow's strengths and (most of all) hide his weaknesses.

He also had to convince his players to buy into this hare-brained scheme and believe they could take a season that was already in the dumpster and resurrect with by winning this way, with a QB EVERYONE was saying couldn't play in the NFL.

It was not merely a brilliant coaching job, it was truly one for the ages.

And, amazingly, he did not win Coach of the Year for his effort. Mike Smith of the Falcons did.

All NFL "of the Year" awards are complete bull****. Watt not winning MVP last year made that point so effectively, I wonder anyone pays them the slightest mind this season.

****ty loses no matter what at any position. If you have an average QB and historic great defensive lineman, you may or may not be better off than the reverse, depending on all the other guys on the team.

Nobody trades superstars, because once you have one, you just count your blessings. I bet the Texans wouldn't have traded Watt, either.
