Ducks are trading C Trevor Zegras to the Flyers for C Ryan Poehling, a mid-second-round pick this year and a fourth-round pick next year.
I know nothing about Poehling, except for a stat look. Former first-round pick by Montreal. He averaged 13 minutes a game last season, so third- or fourth-line minutes. 12G, 19A, 31P, minus-4. Maybe minus-4 isn't awful playing for a bad team.
Somebody fill me in on what looks like a bad deal for the Ducks.

Other deals so far include Chris Kreidler to the Ducks for not much and Mason Marchment to the Kraken for not much. Rangers send their No.1 pick to Penguins as a condition of the JT Miller trade, which Penguins acquired from Canucks. Penguins have 11 and 12

Interested in seeing if there will be more offer sheets signed this summer and players moving via that route.

All I read yesterday centered on Zegras being a problem child, and that the Ducks did not receive enough in return for him. He was definitely a fan favorite in Anaheim. Only ESPN.com gave the Ducks a winning grade in this trade, every other source had it a lopsided win for the Flyers. One commenter (yes, this is unreliable) said that today, half of the teams are stunned and would have been willing to give the Ducks more for Zegras than they got from Philly.

Feelings from the Philly area are okay to giddy with the deal, but fans are so ready to move into the next phase of "Trust The Process", Flyers style. Drysdale being buds with him and the Gauthier/Drysdale trade seems to have helped the 2 teams dance here, or so the scuttlebutt goes.

Bob Murray, who drafted Drysdale and Zegras as GM of the Ducks, works for the Flyers now so there's also a lot familiarity there.

Forgot about that. If you're looking for reasons why the Ducks haven't made the playoffs in 7 years, start with B. Murray.

Is this going to be the forking Gary Bettman Show introducing every forking war room?
