Now that I’ve had time to read what some of the pundits have said I’m okay with unloading Simons. They’re not going to want to negotiate contracts with free agents until this team is officially sold anyways.

He didn't make an all-defense team this year, but the numbers look pretty similar. It's on offense that he's been slipping - down to 1.5 FTA per 36 minutes, suggesting he either can't draw fouls, or avoids driving now. Assists and shooting also down. He's still useful if overpaid. I could see a contender talking themselves into him, but the return is probably a late first or second round picks, assuming you can find a way to make the salaries match.

The last Warriors title run was awesome not only because Steph and Draymond played at the peak of their powers, but Wiggins and Poole also reached heights never seen before or since.

Noticed that 37 of the last 46 picks in the draft — including every first-rounder except one from Nos. 13-30 — were traded at least once. The only first-round pick after No. 12 that belongs to its original owner is the Celtics at No. 28, so they seem like the virgin in the whorehouse.
I know anything outside the lottery is considered a crapshoot and NBA teams trade draft picks like Pokemon cards, but not having followed the NBA draft that closely over the years, is that normal or unusual?

BOS doesn't win the 2024 Finals without Porzingis. Yes he's fragile but he was a key cog just like W's don't win without Poole.

Anyone else see Dunleavy over there asking Stevens about Derrick White??

Half of it goes to teams that didn't go into the tax, and the rest goes towards "league initiaitives."

He played 7/19 games in the playoffs (four in a 4-1 first round, and three in a 4-1 Finals). He was terrific in Game 1 of the Finals, though. That was the guy everyone hopes they get night in, night out.

BTW, Poole and Zion will make for a meme team to rival last year's Wizards.
