TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested in Tampa on Wednesday night in connection with a kidnapping and robbery that happened in February.

Tampa police said they believe Arnold was the “primary conspirator” in the Feb. 4 armed robbery, which involved six other people — all of whom were arrested earlier this year.

Investigators said Arnold and the other suspects planned to get back at three people who they believed had stolen over $250,000 in belongings from an Airbnb they periodically rented in Largo. However, Tampa police said they later confirmed the victims were not involved in the theft at the Airbnb.

The same day Arnold and the co-defendants reported the Airbnb theft to Largo police, they devised a plan to lure the three victims to an apartment, where the victims were held at gunpoint and beaten, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Detectives said the victims, described as three men in their late teens, had visible injuries from being pistol-whipped and beaten.

One of the suspects streamed the incident, and a group chat between Arnold and the other suspects confirmed their involvement, investigators said. According to detectives, Arnold was giving directions to the other suspects via text messages during the assault.

He later showed up to the apartment while the incident was still ongoing, and didn’t leave until close to 2 a.m., when the victims were escorted outside by armed individuals and allowed to drive off, police said.

Authorities said the victims also had multiple personal items stolen from them while they were being held at the apartment.

Well, innocent until proven guilty and all ... but I think he's ****ed.

If you're going to lure people to an apartment to pistol-whip, I think it's for sure important that you've got the live stream going.

I would take this to the Official Offseason CFL Thread, but they're already in Week 4.

The Canadian Football League will not allow Brendan Sorsby to sign a contract with any of its nine teams, nor can a team claim his exclusive rights.
“Upholding the integrity of the league and ensuring fair competition are paramount to the CFL,” the league wrote in a statement to 3DownNation.
“The allegations involving Brendan Sorsby are serious and concerning. At this time, the CFL will not register a contract for him, and no team will be permitted to add him to its negotiation list.”

Kind of sad for him, given that his background and stats are ideal for a CFL starter.
