When you have two young kids, you start threads when you can.

Heading into Week 3 ...

Will the Vikings reinstate Adrian Peterson?

Will the 49ers be pressured into deactivating Ray McDonald?

Will the Bears build on thier momentum, especially on an injury-riddled defense?

Will Drew Brees and the Saints finally win a game?

Will the Bills finally lose a game?

Will Kirk Cousins fare as well as a starter (which he failed to do last year)?

No.

I don't think he plays for the Vikings again, the way things have played out to this point.

You were saying? Guess we know which beatings the Vikings are more concerned with.

Fabulous.

There's a new stadium coming.

Chris Cook didn't affect the revenue stream. They sat him.

Adrian Peterson does. He beat a four-year-old child bloody.

But there's a stadium to fill, sponsorships to sell, marketing partnerships to sell, etc.

Face of The Franchise, Adrian Peterson.

That's where I am, too. I don't want him out there, even if the result is Asiata plodding for 3 yards a carry and Cassel tossing interceptions left and right.

This isn't happening. The 49ers have changed their stance from "due process" to "we're with Ray."

Besides, that's gone as a team issue. It's all Kaepernick now.

I can't believe the Vikings brought him back.

Look at the pictures and read what he said about it.

Other than the first series the Vikings were beyond awful yesterday.

But now we get to watch crowds celebrate a man who beat his four-year-old son bloody.

God dammit do I love the Unnamed Sources who hover around the Redskins. From Mike Wise:

The dirty little secret in Ashburn is that Coach Jay Gruden actually thought Kirk Cousins was better suited to his offense, that Robert Griffin III wasn’t getting it and there was no way to delicately make a change at any point this season without causing major problems throughout the organization. So the new coach was resigned to doing everything he could to develop Griffin into a pocket passer, though he really feared Griffin might not be the guy to lead the team over the long term.

Over on the Week Two thread someone posted a picture of this idiot:

One tailgating Vikings fan reeled in a whopper of unwanted attention for Minnesota in the wake of last week’s child abuse allegations against Viking superstar Adrian Peterson.

Yes, many fans arrived Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis wearing replica Adrian Peterson jerseys, but one pregame celebrant threw in a prop: a stripped-down tree branch, an apparent nod to the tool of discipline that Peterson wielded on his 4-year-old son earlier this year, resulting in criminal charges.

I hope she's ready for her 15 minutes of fame, because here it comes:

Do you know the identity of the woman in the photo, if so email us here.

If Cousins plays well the rest of the way, it will be interesting to see what happens. In a normal situation, I would guess that would make RG3 trade bait and it would become a question of how much would a team give up to bet on a talented, misused and often-injured QB. But given his relationship with the owner, I suspect he'll probably sign a monster extension during the off-season and Jay Gruden will be shown the door if he's not on board with it.

Broncos fans fed up with Phil Simms' biased analysis have started a petition to get off Denver games.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/broncos-fans-start-petition-ban-163030222.html

"The People of Denver" have spoken and started a petition on Change.org to have Simms banned from Broncos games. It received nearly 100 signatures in its first five minutes. As of Monday morning, the petition has over 3,000 signatures. Their goal is 5,000 signatures.

Petition by
The People Of Denver
We do not know why he is assigned to the Broncos games every year. It is sure and complete torture for Bronco Fans to have to listen to his biased drivel every week. Please sign this petition so our voice can be heard. We are tired of Phil Simms in Denver!

I did not know Simms had a perceived bias against Denver. Why is he accused of being a Bronco buster?

These people are indeed idiots, but I'll bet it's not so much an anti-Broncos bias they are mad about but rather Simms' (and Nantz's) undying Dante for Beatrice level love for Tom Brady and all things Patriot.

Fans in every NFC city except Dallas scream the same thing every time Aikman calls their game.

I always enjoy the Fun with PK throwdown, but I especially enjoyed today's entry.
