Heard today that Josh McCown is "on the hot seat" after two weeks. Gotta love The Saga of Lovie and His Quarterback. Having said that, if McCown can't put up some big numbers tonight against a horrendous Falcons defense, the Bucs are in trouble moving forward.

He might put up big numbers, but the question will be, can they win? The Bucs were a trendy playoff sleeper pick before the season and could very easily be 0-3 after tonight, which wouldn't bode well after home games against the Panthers without Newton and the Rams, who many thought would be one of the worst teams in the league.

Glennon was solid at times last season.

I expect McCown to have a pretty good game while the Bucs fall to 0-3. The Bucs would have trouble slowing Ryan & Co. even if the defense's best player wasn't injured. 34-23 Falcons.

I don't think McCown is anything close to being the problem in TB. By all means hand the job to Glennon and see how he does in road games at Pittsburgh, at New Orleans and against the Ravens.

When a baseball game gets really out of hand, a manager often will put in a position player to pitch, to save his pitching staff for another day. If football has an equivalent, we're going to see it tonight. This game will have no TV viewers in the second half who aren't drunk or already asleep.

I started on that game. Unless it improved significantly, it was ****ty football, too. More competitive, but damn it was ugly early.

I was playing a video game and turned it off just about the end of the first quarter nearly did a spit take when I saw it was already 28-0.

I enjoyed Hester's tribute to Deion as he ran the punt back to break Prime Time's record.
