The Chiefs not only have the worst general manager (Carl Peterson), head coach (Herm Edwards) and offensive coordinator (Mike Solari) in the NFL, they also have the worst starting quarterback (Damon Huard).

Huard has managed to throw a forward pass past the line of scrimmage, fumble and throw a screen pass on second-and-20 -- all in the first half.

I picked the Chiefs to go 4-12 before the season, with one of the wins against the Texans. Now I'm not confident they'll win even one game.

I still think they'll take Oakland, probably twice. Outside of that, I'm not quite sure if they've got another win in 'em.

Yeah. The problem is, I'm curious if Clark Hunt will pull the trigger on Peterson after his father let him run the day-to-day for so long.

And apparently, Carl hasn't read Machiavelli's The Prince yet. Just because the son is now in charge, that doesn't mean that Carl is going to be safe, unless Clark is willing to let King Carl run the show. A new person in charge will ultimately make the decision to change the culture that was there when his old man was there.

The only reason Peterson has stayed around so long (as was pointed out well in a JoPo column a bit back) is because he's avoided those 4-12, 3-13 campaigns. Ever since the mid 90's, they've been just good enough to hover around .500. That way there's always some hope, never a Lions-esque pit of despair.

Pretty much. They've been thoroughly dominated. Losman has been out since the first series with an injury, but even so, I don't think it would be any better with him in there.
