If the Cavs have a scouting department worth a ****, this could be a big draft for them despite everyone calling it a ****ty draft class. They have picks 1, 19, 31, and 33.

And they have nothing to show for trading away all those picks. I can't remember the exact deals, but I remember Ramon Sessions was involved in one of those lost first rounders. I'm assuming Nash was as well.

The greatest thing, if the Lakers would not have made the playoffs and been first-round cannon fodder they would have kept their pick. It was lottery protected.

When you look at what Cleveland has been able to do, especially what they got for LeBron from Miami just so the Heat could give him a max contract, it isn't that bad. Yes, you lost LeBron but they got Miami's first rounder this year, which they then swapped to the Lakers for the #19 in the Sessions deal, get another Miami first rounder either in 2015, 16 0r 17 (when, I might add, Miami might not be very good) and used the assets from the trade last year to move up to draft Tyler Zeller. Plus, they have a ton of cap flexibility for next summer's free agent frenzy.

I don't think LeBron is coming back to Cleveland, but they may be close to where they might be able to contend without him.

That is not a bad squad to throw out there every night. They also, at 19, might be able to pick up a shooter like the kid from Cal. They have a decent bench if they resign Speights and keep Ellington around, along with Zeller. They also have a couple of high second rounders they could try to package with the #19 to move up into the lottery this year and grab an Olidipo or Porter.

Things are looking up in Cleveland.

Cavs fans should just be glad that you're not coaching their team/drafting for them. That starting lineup, outside of Irving and Varejao, would be atrocious offensively, and in no way be close to contending for a championship. Also, the players would get pissed at you for not being able to spell their names.

Noel isn't a safe pick. He won't play in the summer league, he won't be at training camp. When he does come back it will be slowly in the beginning and he may find a semblance of his 'groove' by April. He may rush back, the anti-Rose, and look bad. He may take too long and be seen as weak.
A bad team can't take him with an eye that he will be useful this year, and his upside can only be realized if he bulks up without losing much quickness, not a strong probability.

Have you seen Noel play? I'd assume not if you're projecting him as a PF. The guy has no forward skills at all. He's one of the most gifted shotblockers and rim protectors I've ever seen, but outside the paint he's offensively worthless. Can't see him playing anywhere but center in the near future.

As someone else noted, your proposed frontline would be an offensive disaster and commit an ungodly number of turnovers.

No way LeBron opts out. He's way too loyal to do something like that. He'll definitely retire as a member of the Miami Heat. I mean, he loves it there. It's just like home!!

I don't think he will. He's not going to Cleveland ever again. I can't see him going to the Lakers, I've heard the Lakers are gonna overpay for Brandon Jennings and his 40 percent shooting.

I'm fully prepared for him to go to the Lakers, who will probably then turn around and hire Phil back before winning five of the next seven titles... The thought of this makes me want to vomit, but that's the way things usually work out for the Lakers...
