I'll go with DJ. Until Spieth doesn't find himself in contention on a Sunday at the Masters, I'll put him in top 3. And I'll go with Rose to round out top 3.
I think Tiger's got a chance but like with Spieth, but, uh, opposite, until he actually ever wins a major again I don't think he's any kind of favorite. He can win regular events again. But with majors, I see it being more like it was from 2009-2003. He won a lot. But in the majors he'd miss a big putt, or hit a bad drive at key points. Or just have bad final round.Had great chances at '10 US Open, '11 Masters, '12 US open and PGA, '13 Masters, '13 British. But couldn't close it. If he does contend at majors, I see it going more like that. That said, he's got a chance to put himself into contention because it is the Masters. 2010 and 2015 were the two times he came into the Masters in the most disarray, whether it was his personal life or his chipping yips (people were absolutely convinced he was going to humiliate himself with his short game at 2015 Masters), and yet he had respectable finishes. His personal life seems pretty good now and his game looks pretty good. So I don't see any reason to think he won't be somewhere in the mix, even if not at the top.
Also, about 100 pages left on the Tiger bio. It's really good. Just getting into the scandal now. But I've definitely learned a lot. Obviously, much of it unflattering or downright awful. But it's also a great portrait of his genius. Now we get to the sex!
And with the Masters putting up the final rounds of the past 50 years of tourneys, I couldn't help but think of
@Cosmo when some nutjob took those and cut them so you can watch just Tiger's shots from all those rounds! Forget everyone else! Now this is what I want...
