When you fall from the perch, you take
3 minutes of commercials an hour. Maybe its five minutes.

Try watching the Greater Greensboro Open early coverage on the Golf Channel. Easily 20-25 minutes of commercials an hour.

I'm sure there will be a ton of commercials on Thursday-Friday viewings.
Hope CBS again has "limited commercial interuptions" for the weekend. Though that has to drive the ad execs NUTs.

Would really like to see Rory get a green jacket. Also wouldn't mind seeing Ricky Fowler break through in a major.

You'd be hard-pressed to find an athlete with a higher profile who's had less success than Fowler. Outside of his 4 Top 5s in the 2014 Majors (which, I admit, is pretty impressive) he's done pretty much zilch, and yet he's in every third commercial.

His best performance was the final round at the 2015 Players Championship, which required a huge rally (and a few lucky bounces) to force a playoff, which he eventually won. Maybe cutting back that shaggy hair helped him with his marketing career ...

The ad execs have long had to make peace with the fact that there's no money to be made this week. There will never be more than a couple min of ads per hour, and the ads will be from the Masters' hand-picked sponsors.

If you go to any tournament, it seems like every other kid is dressed like Ricky.

I just finished doing a Masters pool. Easiest way, we thought, was by purse winnings. Whoever had the most purse winnings wins the pool. Seven participants, we each drafted four golfers, snake draft, via email. Everybody was connected, the draft took about 45 minutes.

Absolutely. Been a few years since I’ve been at an event. Tiger was playing and obviously had the biggest crowds. But most of the kids were wearing orange Puma gear.

Never met him. Seems like a good dude. And his popularity is huge. It’ll be interesting to see how popular he gets if he snags a major.

Something tells me its Matt Kuchar's time; he's been around a while, has good success there, not a bomber but a good putter, oh yeah and a great guy.

Lefty's shirt leaves Tiger, fashion police on alert

Mickelson is not believed to have an endorsement deal with the company, but he said, "I just thought I would give it a try. It's a stretchy fabric, it performs well, and I think it looks good, so ...''

He must have lost huge on Pac-12 basketball.

Kuch has a ton of game. Really like him. But until he proves he’s more than an ATM... perhaps this is his time. If it is, great. Until then, he’s still Chucky Three Sticks.

Not a criticism. Great way to make a living.

"We made that shirt specifically for Phil and were excited to see him wear it out on the course today," Mizzen+Main founder and CEO Kevin Lavelle told ESPN. "The response has been amazing. To see Tiger give him a hard time about wearing a tie was a lot of fun.''

Such a random choice, and the CEO available for comment...I hope Harig gets a case of the shirts.

I saw Tom Rinaldi at Augusta on Sportscenter this morning. Does the goofy fat guy who does every other tour spot not get to go to the Masters?

If there is piano playing in the background, it's Rinaldi.

And I assume you're not talking about Gary McCord. Geez, you would think the lords of Augusta would let that thing go already.
