Watched his DVD this weekend. Meh. Not impressed.

So who impresses you?

Loved Jerry Seinfeld's old standup. And that "Here's your sign" guy whose name escapes me for the moment - the first time I saw him, I cracked up. Mitch Hedburg was outstanding. Aziz Ansari just didn't do it for me.

Bill Engvall is who you were thinking of, I believe...

Yep, that's it. Couldn't remember his name. And John Caparulo. First time I heard him I cried I was laughing so hard.

Do you like the drama shows on TNT?

How about Burn Notice?

TNT knows drama.

Not impressed with Ansari, either. He's from that super-smug group of young comics that also includes Daniel Tosh (whom I like) and Dane Cook (whom I hate).

I didn't like Ansari either.

For the record Patton Oswalt's No Reason to Complain had me crying I laughed so hard. I also just watched Elephant In The Room by Patrice O'Neal, that **** was funny as all hell.

I love Oswalt. I think the last big comedy show I saw was Brian Posehn, Oswalt and David Cross. I don't think I stopped laughing for about three hours.

God, I hope David Cross' standup is funny. He drains every scene he's ever been in of any show ever. And I watched his stupid show last year, whatever it was, something about misadventures of someone. He lied and got put in charge of a company.

Did you ever watch Arrested Development?

Chris Elliot used to ruin everything for me. As soon as I saw he was on a show, I would turn it off. He has never been funny.

Yes. Finished it last week. Loved every second of it ... that didn't involve Tobias.

To me that's like not liking Gob. The two of them are the funniest characters on the show.

I guess Gob's over the topness worked because I know people who are that clueless. But I don't know anyone who could be remotely close to as weird/awkward as Tobias without realizing it. And I hate pointless characters.

Buster, FTW.

WHY DON'T YOU FIND FUNNY WHAT I FIND FUNNY?! TOBIAS IS HILARIOUS! YOUR STUIPED!

Anyway, I do think Tobias is funny, if only for the never-nude concept and for being the world's first analrapist.

But not everyone has to think everything is funny. Humor is one of the more subjective things on this planet.

His standup is 1,000X funnier than any TV show or movie he's ever been in with the exception of Mr. Show, which was brilliant.

I liked Arrested Development, but he was one of the least memorable characters on that show.
