On Attell, I loved his Skanks for the Memories release. Lots of cringy jokes, but found it hilarious.

She was one of the most fiercely competitive athletes I ever covered so her career choice was a surprise to me. I’ve been to a few of her shows. I have a former newsroom colleague who spent some time as a standup. He took it seriously, running bits past us as he prepared his sets before he performed at a number of clubs.

He could be the crudest, most obnoxious guy in the newsroom, but he wasn't like that on stage. I saw him perform and while many of the comics on the card were shooting for punchlines, his stuff was more amusing pieces that took some thinking.

One of the things that made In Living Color so good was they weren't afraid to push the edge. Not to knock SNL, but I'm trying to think if they'd ever, or have ever aired a sketch like this. Carrey nailed the impression.
