20 years ago: The Toronto SJ outing

Was digging for something in my e-mail and I discovered today is 20 years since our infamous Toronto outing started. What a fun weekend.

The many SJ legends in attendance. The photos taken during the last gasps of the pre-social media era that never found their way online. The friendships that were formed and/or solidified.

This place was a lot bigger then re: traffic, especially with the night crew, but at the same time it was much smaller.

Almost everyone who was there now is no longer with us or no longer posting here. Tis sad, but the memories make me smile. Time to yell at more kids.

Send them our best. Urge them to stop by once in a while if they're comfortable. They're missed.

And assure HC that, similar to 20 years ago, the folks in my corner of the world will take care of the Stanley Cup.

We tried in DC two years ago and it ended up being just Three_Bags, Swingline and I for most of the day.

I think Moddy and one other person (BYM?) showed up after I had to leave, but still. It was fun and all, but it wasn’t Toronto or Seattle. The crowd was scarce.
