I'm sure there is a reason the two sides are agreeing to extensions of the existing deal while they try to hammer out a deal when things don't appear "close" to a deal - health insurance coverage, rehab? - and that nobody would notice a strike in the off-season. I guess I just haven't seen it presented that way in print. Also always wondered with much of the league playing off-season leagues overseas to pad their income, how injuries occurring outside of the WNBA are handled.
