Hey, he got the vote of confidence. They said he'd finish the year. Doesn't that mean he will? :D :D

Normally, you would be right on (sarcasm-wise). But I don't think there's anything to be gained by firing him. The fans have been blaming Cerrato and the complete heap of suck the Redskins try to pass for an offensive line a lot more than they have Zorn. They took away his play calling duties (likely) in hopes he would resign. But Zorn didn't bite. Plus, no one Snyder wants will take the job midseason. And I think the Redskins played just well enough in the second half to avoid embarrassment. Zorn probably is safe until the day after the regular season ends.

Of course, if the Redskins do end up losing one of these games by five touchdowns, we'll have to revisit the point.

Just because he's familiar with a bunch of cities in the region? Sandusky is more than 500 miles from Nashville. And his Knoxville ties make him a good fit for UT more than the Titans.

Which rather calls into question the rapidity of advancement in Todd Haley's coaching career.

Nobody would know who this guy was if Larry Fitzgerald didn't go ape**** in the playoffs. Throw it to No. 11 -- that's a brilliant, out-of-the-box piece of coaching there.

I agree on Cerrato and Zorn, but with the players, it may not be that easy. Unless they are going to be free agents, it may be impossible to unload them for cap reasons.

It's interesting how many people (myself included) seemed to think this was an OK hire, but Josh McDaniels going to Denver was just absurd. I'm sure some of it had to do with who McDaniels was replacing, but still...

I watched every minute of the game, Ryan. It looked like it was going to be a 40-point blowout. But it never turned into one, thus not becoming a shellacking on national television.

I maintain that Zorn's job is safe until there is a blowout. It doesn't help that the "offensive line" can't give Campbell at least four seconds to throw the darned football. Or that their best offensive player (Cooley) may be out for the year (or he already may be; I haven't checked yet today).

Mizzougrad, a ton of people were wrong about McDaniels and the Broncos. Still, Al Groh started 4-0 and his team was the talk of the league and you know how that story ended. Haley looks like he's about to combust every week on the sideline. This is not the way to act around young players who mostly suck, and when you have accomplished very little in the league. They're not going to win for a long time. I think they're starting to realize that the players brought in by Herm Edwards and Carl Peterson are worthless, including Larry Johnson, and all those guys need to be scraped out before they can really start building.

It also had to do with McDaniels doing such a lousy job of handling Cutler, but he has done a very good job. Give Mike Nolan a healthy helping of the credit there, too, for taking what was one of the league's worst defenses and turning it into one of the best.

Even when Campbell gets time, he stinks. Listen, I've been a fan of Campbell's, and a stunch defender of his. But now, after seeing that last night, I'm done. He's just not that good, even when he has time to throw. He's got zippy pocket presense and is playing scared.

It was an embarrassing performance. Glad you're playing the role of the optimist. I can't do it anymore.

The Redskins have limited talent. Other than a huge paycheck, why would anyone want to coach there.

OL-Rabach is ok. The rest is garbage and no depth.
RB-Portis is at the end of his run. Not worth cash or aggravation
WR-Thomas has show a little talent
TE-Cooley and Davis. Nice tandem
DL-Orakpo and Haynseworth. Rest are garbage
LB-Best LB is playing well but old
DB-Corners suck ass. Rogers, Smoot and way overpaid Hall.
QB-Terrible.

This team is years away from competing.
