We are back after a lengthy hiatus, with a somewhat different format. The object here, in this collection of athletic, historic and other tyrivia, is to fill in the missing name or object that complete the common theme.

We'll consider this a test drive. So here goes, starting with easy to harder questions.

1. Omaha, Utah, Sword, Gold ...

ANSWER: Juno, the fifth D-Day invasion beach.

2. Jacksonville, East Tennessee, Belmont, Lipscomb, Campbell, Mercer, Stetson, North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State and ...

ANSWER: USC Upstate, the 11th team in the Attlantic Sun Conference.

3. Bob Aspromonte, Al Spangler, Roman Mejias, Norm Larker, Jim Pendleton, Hal Smith, Joey Amalfitano, Bobby Shantz, and ...

ANSWER: SS Don Buddin, which completes the starting lineup for the Houston Colt 45s in the first game in franchise history.

4. Armstrong, Aldrin, Bean, Cernan, Conrad, Irwin, Mitchell, Schmidt, Scott, Shepard, Young and ...

ANSWER: Charlie Duke, who walked onthe moon on the Apollo 16 mission.

5. Charles White, Ken Simonton, Marcus Allen, Darrin Nelson and ...

ANSWER: Napoleon Kaufman, which completes the list of the top 5 rushers in Pac-10 history: White (6245), Simonton (5044), Allen (4810), Nelson (4169) and Kaufman (4106).

BONUS CIVIL WAR QUESTION: Anderson, Pettigrew, Trimble and ... Pickett.

Soldiers from divisions commanded by those generals comprised the Confererates who participated in Pickett's Charge on July 3, 1863. It's often mistakenly believed that only Virginians commanded by Pickett participated.

Guys, you're supposed to complete the missing name, team, etc., not guess what the names represent.

That would be Juno, the deployment location for Canadian troops who participated in D-Day.
