How is Jets-Pats NOT on prime time? NFL screwed the pooch on that one. Mangini vs. Belichick in the Passive-Aggressive Bowl.

Go Jets.

Chiefs-Colts. Herm Edwards vs. Tony Dungy. I guess someone has to win that game, right?

Giants-Eagles not on prime time, either. Kind of surprising that the NFL wouldn't have the Giants/Eagles as the 4 P.M. game on Sunday and the Jets/Pats game as the 8 P.M. game Saturday night.

I think the Pats and Belichick are more concerned about the Jets than they want to let on. I also think that the Jets are going to be a tough out for anyone in the AFC.

Would love to see the Jets beat the Pats, but I don't see it happening. Belichick will make Pennington beat the Pats deep. THAT'S not happening.

And damn, Pats-Chargers in the second round. Belichick vs. Marty. No longer loving the idea of the Chargers in the Super Bowl.

Um, my New York friends ... Cowboys will always get the prime time game based on the (debatable) assumption they move the dial more than any team.

I think it had to be one or the other - one conference got the late games and the other the early ones (for both days); no splitting.

I still can't believe Kansas City made it. And it would be just like the Chiefs, after choking away 13-3 seasons to the Colts in 1995 and 2003, to win in Indianapolis this year. With Larry Johnson, you never know.

Not too happy about the 8 p.m. Cowboys game start because

1) I'll be working
2) It's near deadline
3) I won't be drinking while watching it
4) They'll probably lose anyway ...

The very early line has the Pats as nine point favorites.

If I had any money, I'd put some on the Jets.

Especially with Larry Johnson against that run defense. I'm not a Chiefs fan, but I'll ride the bandwagon.

I like the Chiefs' chances, too. Larry Johnson could realistically go over 200 yards against Indy, and it's tough to lose when your back does that.

And because Indy's run defense sucks, BYH will get another chance to call Manning a fraud

I've personally covered one of those ****ing 8 p.m. kickoffs. It sucks ass, even in the Central Time Zone.

I guarantee Peyton has a ****ty game.

that said, here are some playoff picks that will surely be wrong:

AFC WILD CARD
Chiefs over Colts
Patriots over Jets

AFC SEMIS
Chargers over Chiefs
Ravens over Patriots

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP
Chargers over Ravens (Ravens scare me now but I gotta go with the team I've been humping all year)

NFC WILD CARD
Eagles over Giants
Seahawks over Cowboys

NFC SEMIS
Seahawks over Bears
Saints over Eagles

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP
Saints over Seahawks (won't be surprised if the Eagles make it all the way, either)

SUPER BOWL 41
Chargers over Saints

The Colts will destroy the Chiefs, and the Bears will be one and done as usual. That is all.

I'll wait for some injury reports before making picks.

But even with as bad as the Bears looked tonight, they won't lose in the first round.

Parcells and TO are much bigger draws.

You did notice the part about the Colts' pathetic run defense facing Larry Johnson, right?

The Chiefs have Larry Johnson? Really? Like I said, the Colts will win. Johnson will be neutralized for the most part, like Priest Holmes a few years ago against Indy, by Manning shredding the Chiefs' secondary.

Of course, the game's not in KC, so that should help the Chiefs' chances.

If you watched the Colts/Jaguars game, you'd have a good idea of what's going to happen this sunday. Look for Larry Johnson to run for 600+.
